REGIONAL REFLECTION MEETING BETWEEN THE NGO BUREAU, DISTRICT NGO MONITORING COMMITTEE, KEY MDAs AND NGOs FROM THE LANGO SUB-REGION-NORTHERN UGANDA
The regional meeting was held from 19th to 20th July, 2023 in Lira District. The meeting focused on enhancing the understanding of the District NGO Monitoring Committees and the key stakeholders about their roles and responsibilities. The Financial Intelligence Authority participated and presented on issues regarding Money laundering, Terrorism Financing, Proliferation Financing and their compliance obligations in related to ML/TF/PF.
In attendence were:
- The Executive Director of NGO Bureau - Mr. Okello Stephen
- The Chairman of NGO Bureau - Senior Counsel Simon Peter Kinobe
- The Resident District Commissioners (RDCs) for the region
- The District Internal Security Officers (DISOs)
- The District Community Development Officers (DCDOs)
- Town Clarks and;
- District NGO Monitoring Committees.
