PUBLIC NOTICE: WARNING AGAINST FRAUDULENT PROCUREMENT WEBSITE
The Financial Intelligence Authority (FIA) has become aware of a fraudulent websites that are illegally advertising a fake prequalification notice under FIA’s name and soliciting payments for bid documents.
We wish to clarify as follows:
- The official Prequalification Notice for Financial Years 2025/26, 2026/27, and 2027/28 was published by FIA on 24th March 2025 and is available only through official Financial Intelligence Authority Channels i.e. the website and offices.
- The official non-refundable fee for the bidding documents is UGX 100,000 (One hundred thousand Uganda Shillings) payable through authorized means at Rwenzori Towers, Wing B, 4th Floor, Nakasero Road, Kampala.
- FIA does not operate or advertise procurement opportunities through africareers.net or any unofficial third-party websites.
- Any request for payment of $100 for bidding documents via the aforementioned website is a scam and intended to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
The public is strongly advised:
- Not to engage with or make any payments through the fraudulent website.
- To verify all procurement opportunities directly with FIA.
- To report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station, the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), or National CERT.
FIA has reported the matter to the relevant authorities and is taking appropriate legal action to safeguard the public and the integrity of the procurement process.
